Progress

Ooops. Well, it's been a month since I posted again. I've been a bit crap at keeping things updated recently. I've barely looked at twitter, yet alone tweeted anything. And I've barely posted anything on Instagram, but managed to keep up my browsing. I've sort of managed to keep up with blogs, but posting comments is another thing! I've not been overly busy, I guess I've just enjoyed being almost unplugged for a bit.

We've had a fun couple of weeks. We had a small get together in a local pub, to celebrate our engagement. We didn't expect many people to come, about 10 max, but 30 turned up! We were so pleased! It was lovely to get both sides of my family together and see them having fun. G's family weren't there, as they live 4 hours away and we didn't want to make a big fuss.

I've been such a busy bee on the wedding front :) I'm loving every minute of it! It's really not as stressful as everyone makes out. Or maybe I'm just as good at this as everyone says? I ordered 'the' dress, the one I was sure about in my last post. It's so lovely! I can't wait for it to arrive, so we can start making alterations and making it look perfect :) My shoes arrived today too. I've been on a decluttering mission, donating things to charity shops and selling stuff on ebay - I earned enough to buy me my shoes! Weee! We've booked a photographer, a band and my fancy wedding car. My bridesmaid dresses arrived a few days ago and theres not an awful lot left to arrange :) I'm feeling like superbride! I have a short list of things left to do, so I'm pacing myself so I don't run out of exciting things.

We just had a lovely weekend. Gareth's best friend Bob and his wife Lindsay came to stay. Bob is going to be one of our best men, so we had them down to hang out and go see the venue. This weekend we're heading up to G's mum's to celebrate his brother's engagement. We're also heading for a little zoo double date with one of my besties and her beau. I'm super duper excited! Lots and lots to look forward to! Not to mention our short anniversary trip to Disneyland Paris in November :)

I couldn't post and not mention that my gorgeous Jade and Andi had their first beautiful baby a few weeks ago! I can't wait to meet little Ivy Quinn in a few weeks! Well done Jadey, you did so well :)

I've made some progress with my healthy diet and weightloss. I'm now one pound from losing a stone from my heaviest :) I'd made the effort to try and make at least one meal a day vegan, but some days ended up being completely vegan, as well as wheat free. I noticed that I felt much better and my stomach is much better behaved, so decided to make it a bit more permanent. So I've been eating vegan and wheat free for about a week and it's made a great change :) I'm not being super strict and have enjoyed the naughty treat or two, but am being pretty disciplined. I managed not to eat a single doughnut of a Krispy Kreme dozen and when we took Bob and Lindsay for afternoon tea at our venue yesterday, I sat and sipped on peppermint tea. I resisted delicious looking sandwiches, cake and a scone with jam and clotted cream. That's willpower, I tell you! Here's hoping that I'll stick at it and that my naughty tummy stays being good. I am SO looking forward to a naughty two weeks of eating whatever I want (as long as it's veggie!) in Florida! :)

I'm not gonna promise to post again soon, cos I'm a lazy poop, but I'll try! The whole reason I blog here is so that I can look back in years to come!
